Recently, Radio Holland Malaysia (RHM) received a contract for navigation communication equipment for six new generation patrol boats (NGPC) built by Destini Shipbuilding Engineering. The six patrol boats were built for the Malaysian Maritime Administration (MMEA). 
The contract scope of supply includes detailed design, supply, installation, testing and commissioning of navigation communication equipment including control systems and thermal imaging cameras. These patrol boats will play an important role in maritime search and rescue operations.
As part of an upgrade program in Malaysia, the new generation of patrol boats that will be built with the latest technology and design will replace the older patrol boats.
It is reported that these patrol boats can achieve a maximum speed of 24 knots and 41 crew members. The new generation of patrol boats will be deployed to patrol the entire Malaysian waters.
