The man whom Wang Renlun said is the hundred-year-old Red Army Zhou Keliu. Several children, daughter-in-laws, and son-in-law are eager to recall the red stories told by the elderly.

Zhou Keliu’s eldest daughter, Zhou Hailing, said that due to the high age, the elderly spend most of their time in the hospital. Although he is a hundred years old, his thoughts are clear when he recalls those years.

In 1929, Zhou Keliu, a young man born on the Yudu River in Jiangxi Province, joined the revolution to participate in the Red Army of the Workers and Peasants.

"In the autumn of October, the autumn was cold and the Central Red Army was expeditionary. Stars and nights crossed the rivers, and the ancient tombs of Xintian beat them." Lu Dingyi mentioned Yudu River in this poem, which is Zhou Keliu's hometown. Taking Yudu River as a starting point, the Chinese communists began to embark on a long march.

Zhou Keliu used to say: “Every time I return to my hometown where I have been away for more than 70 years, I saw the turbulent Yudu River. When I heard the sound of the turbulent water, I was always full of emotion and filled with emotion.”

On the evening of October 16, 1934, according to the Central Command, the Red Army began to force its crossing of the Dudu River and enter the north. At that time, the main task of Zhou Keliu's camp was to shield the central government and the Red Army's main forces from crossing the river to the west to suppress and block the enemy's tail-catching power and to get rid of the Kuomintang's chase.

From then on, Zhou Keliu and his comrades embarked on the road to the Long March. “At that time, 20 rivers were crossed and many snow-capped mountains were climbed. The old man died nine lives.” Wang Renlun, political commissar of the first dry house in the Jinan Military Region, said.

Zhou Keliu followed the long march of Mao Zedong and other leaders and died nine lives. In July 1935, the Central Red Army was struggling to march on the Long March. In the past, the troops were seriously short of food. Once, the second row of soldiers collected a lot of wild mushrooms and cooked them. On the evening of the same day, Zhou Keliu was pulled by his comrades and sat down with him.

After eating, I do not know how long before, the entire row of more than 20 people have lost consciousness, Zhou Keliu is no exception. When the comrades in the task force arrived, they thought that they were really dead, so they took them to the side of the road and covered a few weeds. They buried them and put a block of life cards on their heads. Zhou Keliu's sign reads: Zhou Keliu, Yudu of Jiangxi Province, and six soldiers.

"Red Housekeeper" repeatedly broke the puzzle

Zhou Keliu’s legendary life is inextricably linked with logistics. On June 1st, 1936, China’s Anti-Japanese Red Army University was established in Wayaobao, Northern Shaanxi. The “housekeeper” was the logistical support in the revolutionary era. Zhou Keliu’s logistics began with the purchase of grain bags. On February 4, 1937, in the first year of the Lunar New Year, the leader gave him a “special task”—purchasing food bags. At that time, due to the enemy’s tight blockade against northern Shaanxi, the Red Army’s logistical supply of grain was very difficult. In order to ensure that the troops have enough food when they fight, they urgently need a batch of food bags. To buy a large number of grain bags, only to go to the White Area to purchase, the enemy can block the line, often leaving our army procurement personnel empty-handed, and even go without return.

After accepting the task, Zhou Keliu bought a long hat and dressed himself as a businessman. He crossed the heavy blockade and came to Xi'an City. Under the guidance of well-meaning people, he purchased around the room during the day, hiding in the theater at night to hear the book, only to return to the store at night, escaped inspections. After several days of financing, purchase of food bags, and several twists and turns, Zhou Keliu finally returned hundreds of grain bags safely to his destination.

Shortly after this mission was successfully completed, Zhou Keliu was appointed as the Finance Section Chief of the Red Army University. At that time, because the Kuomintang used the name of the cooperation between the KMT and the CPC, it emphasized "all unification" and prohibited the use of the "Soviet notes" printed by the government of the peasant-peasant peasants in the Shaanxi-Gansu-Ningxia Border Region. In this way, the funding and material supply of Zhou Keliu’s school became an extremely difficult issue.

Later, Zhou Keliu's approach became a red memory for his lifetime treasure. At that time, in order to alleviate this situation, Zhou Keliu suggested using the method of writing IOUs to buy things from the cooperatives. Later, he also proposed that the IOU be printed as a subsidy voucher and be issued monthly to faculty and staff members. According to the standard for issuing allowances at that time, he personally designed a sample of subsidy vouchers that was printed by the Yan'an General Book Bureau. The internal circulation of the subsidy vouchers has solved the difficulty of the faculty and staff in buying things to a certain extent and eased the tension in school funding.

Since then, Zhou Keliu has forged close ties with the logistics management of our army. Until the later anti-US aid and North Korea, he has been engaged in logistical support work.

Luo Ruiqing as a "matchmaker" promotes red 伉俪

In Zhou Keliu's living room, there is a black and white photo of two people. This is the first commemorative photo taken by Zhou Keliu and his wife Feng Xiaguang in 1951. Zhou Keliu looks handsome and his wife Feng Xiaguang is very delicate.

The marriage between the two men has given their children great rejoicing. It is not only because they are married in the flames of war, but also because their matchmaker was Luo Ruiqing, then the university’s president.

“My mother was very envious of the performances of the Red Army women soldiers when they were young. After they finished their performances, they went to grab them and said they would also join the army.” Zhou Hailing said, after being transferred to the girls’ team of the Anti-Japanese Military University in 1938, Feng Xiaguang’s academic performance has always been among the best.

As the girls graduated, the girls' team students strongly demanded to go to the front line. However, the school has established a distribution principle for female trainees: All the spouses working in schools move to the front line with the general school, and the remaining trainees leave Yan'an II campus. Feng Xiaguang was in a hurry and asked the leader of the team three or five times to go to the front line. This could make the leaders commit guilty. He took this matter to the then vice president, Luo Ruiqing, and made a report.

After hearing the report, Luo Ruiqing suddenly remembered that when he went to the following inspection work some time ago, he was very satisfied with the work of the financial section chief Zhou Keliu.
