Recently, Mitsubishi Motors Sales (China) Co., Ltd. filed a recall plan, which will recall some of the imported 2007 Lancer Wings produced from July 13, 2018 to June 16, 2007, starting from July 9, 2018. According to the statistics of the company, there are 254 vehicles in mainland China.
Some of the vehicle co-pilot airbags in this recall range were equipped with an ammonium nitrate gas generator without a desiccant produced by Takada. When the airbag is deployed, the gas generator of the airbag may be abnormally damaged, causing debris to fly out and injuring the inside of the vehicle, posing a safety hazard.
Mitsubishi Motors Sales (China) Co., Ltd. will replace the modified gas generator for the co-pilot airbag of the vehicle within the scope of the recall to eliminate the defect.
