Did the heavy truck market in June reach the bottom?
This issue was affirmed in early July. The heavy-duty truck market in June is expected to sell 51,500 vehicles, a year-on-year decrease of 19.5% and a decrease of 8.1% from the 56044 vehicles in May. The fierce market is beyond the expectations of many industry players.
In June heavy truck sales, the gap between the old and the second-tier is no longer as obvious as it was last year. Among them, Dongfeng Motor Company continued to lead the monthly sales volume of 12,000 units, which was -10.1% lower than the same period of last year. The second place, CNHTC, had eye-catching export performance. In June, its sales volume exceeded 8,000 units, a decrease of 14.9%. Shaanxi Automobile Group also performed better due to its export performance (nearly 1600 units exported in June), which represented a double-digit growth of 10% year-on-year, and the sales volume surpassed that of FAW Group in the third place. The fourth-placed FAW and fifth-placed Futian Auman had a small difference in sales volume, which was 6900 vehicles and 6,600 vehicles respectively, down by 38% and 26.4% year-on-year, showing a large decline.
In the third echelon, Beiben sold 2,500 heavy trucks, an increase of 33.3% year-on-year. It was one of the two companies with a year-on-year increase in sales in June (another company is Shaanxi Auto); JAC's 1900 heavy trucks were down year-on-year. 46.9%; SAIC-Iveco Red Rock fell 34.2%, achieving 1,606 units of sales; and 1,262 units of Valin sales, a year-on-year decrease of 41.5%.
In the past half of 2012, although the market was in mourning (cumulated sales of 373,400 heavy trucks in January-June, down 31.3% year-on-year), the pattern did not change significantly. Dongfeng sold a total of 81,100 units in January-June, and continued to win the top spot in the heavy truck industry sales rankings. Heavy truck and FAW Group ranked second and third in terms of cumulative sales of 65,200 units and 62,300 units; Half a year sales of 50,300 heavy trucks (down 23.6% year-on-year), and fifth-placed Fukuda Auman (46,800 units) reside in the second echelon; Beiben, Jianghuai, Hongyan, and Valin to 15,700, 140,000, and 9063 respectively. 8530 vehicles ranked sixth to ninth, with year-on-year declines larger than the industry average.
LNG heavy trucks this year, the fire

In fact, in June "dark moment", also indicates that the market continues to slump in July. The reporter learned that although the country’s macroeconomic policies have recently released some positive benefits, such as the two-year reduction in oil prices and the one-year benchmark deposit and lending rates, there have been no signs of recovery in the heavy truck market. The reporter believes that although the macro-control has become loose, due to the inactive real economy, funds for the resumption of infrastructure projects have been put in place slowly, and the moderate recovery of the heavy-duty truck industry has to wait until at least after September. Until then, the market will always be "cold"
