Two domestically produced valve new products passed national appraisal

[ China Instrument Network Instrument R&D ] On May 8, the new product appraisal meeting of Nantong Power Station Valve Co., Ltd. was successfully held in Jiangsu Rugao. Two new products for valve development in Nantong City, “supercritical forged steel plate boring valve” and “ultra-supercritical main steam warming valve” have passed national appraisal.

Established in 1960, Nantong Power Station Valve Co., Ltd. is a large-scale backbone enterprise that produces and operates high and medium pressure valves. In 1975, the company pioneered the all-forging power station shut-off valve in China. In 1979, it was designated as a professional manufacturer of power station valves by the Ministry of Electric Power and the Ministry of Machinery. In March 2010, the company formally signed a contract with Dunan Valve to establish a strategic partnership and achieve strong alliances. Now it is the director unit of China General Machinery Association.

After years of development, Nantong Power Station Valve Company has performed well in the formulation of valve standards and the research and development of new products. Not long ago, Nantong Valve led the drafting of the "power station high temperature and high pressure plate gate valve" industry standards passed the review. This standard fills the domestic gap and is an important achievement for Nantong Valve to participate in the National Energy Board's efforts to organize the localization of key valves. After the standard is promulgated and implemented, it will play an active role in promoting the standardization of valve technology, standardizing and guiding industry product design, manufacturing, inspection and procurement, and improving valve product quality.

The appraisal meeting was hosted by Song Yinli, Secretary-General of the China General Machinery Industry Association Valve Subcommittee, Yu Shurong, Vice President of the Lanzhou University of Technology, a doctoral tutor, and Zhang Shiming, deputy chief engineer of Jiangsu Huarong Jurong Power Generation Co., Ltd., and seven industry experts. Experts at the seminar inspected the production site, heard new product development work reports, technical summary reports, performance testing reports, etc., reviewed relevant identification data, and conducted full discussion. After questioning and discussion, the appraisal committee unanimously passed the review.

The main technical performance indicators of "Supercritical Forged Steel Plate Pressure Control Valve" and "Ultra Supercritical Main Steam Warming Valve" researched and developed by Nantong Valve have reached the domestic leading level of similar products. Among them, "supercritical forged steel plate boring valve" is the first in China to fill the gaps in the domestic market and replace imports, which has made important contributions to the promotion of localization of key valves.

The successful review of the new products of the two valves will further enhance the influence of Nantong Power Station Valves in the thermal power generation industry, and at the same time, it will take the lead in seizing the ultra-supercritical high-end valve market of thermal power units.
