In mid-June this year, more than 50 BYD e6 electric vehicles arrived in the UK. This is the first time that the vehicle has been put into the UK market. This BYD e6 will be delivered to Greentomatocars, a London-based taxi company. On October 24, 2012, BYD signed an agreement with Greentomatocars. Currently Greentomatocars is the second-largest micro taxi company in London and has a team of more than 300 hybrid vehicles. This is the first batch of BYD E6 models exported to overseas markets. The transaction between BYD and Greentomatocars was supported by London & Partners, a London City government promotion agency.
According to British media, BYD e6 is the purest electric vehicle with the largest cruising range currently listed in the UK and has an electric driving range of 186 miles. Only after the Tesla Model S landed in the UK in the fourth quarter of this year will the number of 265 miles exceed e6.
The BYD e6, which was delivered to the United Kingdom, was equipped with an electric motor with a power of 75 kilowatts and a lithium iron phosphate battery with a maximum speed of 87 mph.
