·New public vehicles in Beijing will use electric vehicles

This year, the city will add at least 900 electric buses to key bus routes, and all new urban taxis will use electric vehicles. By 2017 in Beijing, the proportion of electric vehicles will increase from the current 5% to 20%. The Municipal Science and Technology Commission and the relevant committees and commissions issued the "Beijing Electric Vehicle Promotion and Application Action Plan (2014-2017)" yesterday. In response to rumors that "Beijing electric vehicles are not allowed to travel", the Municipal Development and Reform Commission said that this policy is currently under study.
Adding an official car to an electric car
According to the plan, the number of electric buses put into operation in this city this year will be no less than 900 vehicles. The key bus lines along Chang'an Street and the Third Ring Road Ring Line and the existing four BRT lines will all be updated to electric buses. Existing and future new rail transit micro-circulation lines and major bus lines in Xincheng District will also use electric buses. This year, 60 electric buses will be put into operation at the APEC meeting site in Huairou, Yizhuang New City and Changping Future Science City. By 2017, there will be no less than 4,500 electric buses in Beijing, and the proportion of electric vehicles in buses will increase from 5% to 20%.
In the future, all kinds of operating vehicles, ferries, etc., which are updated or added to the Capital Airport, will also use pure electric vehicles. New taxis in the urban area and 10 suburban county taxis will also use electric vehicles. In principle, electric vehicles will be used for the addition or renewal of official vehicles. The parking lot of the party and government organs and enterprises and institutions in this Municipality will also be allocated a certain proportion of charging piles.
At least 18% of new residential parking spaces with charging piles
In order to solve the "mileage anxiety" of electric vehicle owners, the plan is to propose the construction of charging electric piles in this city in the next few years. First of all, this year will start the construction of bus replacement and power station in Tongzhou Tuqiao and Changping Future Science and Technology City, and build a fast charging pile for urban electric taxis in accordance with the car pile ratio of not less than 3:1. Secondly, this year we will study and formulate charging facilities in several major transportation hubs: Capital Airport, Nanyuan Airport, Beijing Railway Station, Beijing South Railway Station, Beijing West Railway Station, and public places such as public parking lots and highway service areas. Standardize and build 1,000 fast charging piles. Finally, in the newly built and rebuilt residential areas, charging piles will be built at a rate not less than 18% of the parking spaces, and new and rebuilt commercial areas and charging lots for social parking lots, office areas, hospitals and school parking lots will be built. The ratios are 20%, 25% and 15% respectively.
Electric vehicle parking fees and restrictions are still under study
The plan proposes that the next step is to achieve full coverage of the vehicles, infrastructure construction and operation, and service guarantee of new energy vehicles, and actively study policies such as differentiated parking fees and priority allocation of truck passes for electric logistics vehicles. The relevant person in charge of the Municipal Transportation Commission said that it is studying the differentiated parking fee policy. "The parking fee standard for new energy vehicles may be lower than that of ordinary vehicles, but the specific content has not yet been determined."
Recently, there have been rumors on the Internet that Beijing will soon introduce an unlimited policy for electric vehicles. In response, Ge Wei, director of the Science and Technology Department of the Municipal Transportation Commission, responded yesterday that the current electric passenger car is still the same as the fuel passenger car, and the working day limit policy is implemented. The relevant person in charge of the Municipal Development and Reform Commission also said that the relevant departments of Beijing are studying the policy that electric vehicles do not participate in the restriction of motor vehicles.
