[ China Instrument Network Instrument R&D ] Recently, the scientific research achievement of the Instrument Center's functional safety center, "A Test Device and Method for Partial Stroke and Life of an Implementing Organization," has been granted a national invention patent.
This patent is the core research achievement of the “Study on Functional Safety Performance of Key Components of the Implementing Agency†developed by the scientific research institute in 2012. The project lasted for two years. The research team completed the prototype development, application demonstration and patent application of the test device, and recently obtained the invention patent certificate issued by the State Intellectual Property Office (Patent No. ZL201410409346.7).
The invention can support partial stroke test, reliability and life limit test for pneumatic/electric actuators, and monitor the whole process, record and export test data, and effectively fill the actuator and valve control products. In the SIL evaluation process, there is a lack of space for a dedicated device for reliability testing.
Under the support of the test device, the life limit test of the pneumatic actuator under unattended condition was successfully realized (the sample was damaged after 430,000 full stroke operation test), and the cylinder fork guide wheel was found due to the high impurity of lubricant. Potential defects such as stuck-in cards were well received by the trial units. The functional safety center will further continue to enrich the function of the test device and promote the transformation of the results market.
